NEW TO PHYSIOLOGIC- Q-1000 LOW LEVEL LASER
The Q-1000 has been clinically tested and is used worldwide by healthcare professionals in the fields of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, dental health and sports medicine. Since March 2008 the physiotherapists at Physiologic Hythe have had the advantage of using this low level laser which was imported from America. It uses a unique combination of pulsed laser light and infrared radiation to emit photons that once absorbed by damaged cells allows them to perform optimally again. Low Level Lasers have no effect on normal tissues, as photons of light are only absorbed and utilized by the cells that need them.
The Q 1000:
| · |
reduces pain by stimulating cells to produce their own endorphins, a natural pain killer. |
| · |
promotes faster healing by stimulating cells to increase the production of two major healing enzymes by as much as 75%. |
| · |
reduces Inflammation by as much as 75%. |
| · |
increases bone repair speed by stimulating fibroblastic and osteoblastic proliferation. |
| · |
relaxes muscles and decreases swelling by stimulating lymphatic drainage. |
| · |
enhances the immune system by increasing the number of "killer" cells by 400-900%. |
| · |
re-energises cell membranes to allow transport of essential nutrients across cell walls. |

We have found that it gives excellent results in a number of areas previousy difficult to treat:
| · |
Deep Scar Pain – even as longstanding as 5 years |
| · |
Healing of broken skin and ulcers |
| · |
Increased bone repair speed and reducing pain from osteoporotic fractures |
| · |
Reduction of specific areas of muscle spasm including those from fibromyalgia |
| · |
Trigger fingers and thickening in the hands |
| · |
Stubborn chronic injuries |
| · |
Sinusitis and certain types of head and tooth pain |
It is also used in conjunction with Ultrasound to speed up the healing of soft tissue and sports injuries such as Tennis Elbow and Achilles Tendonitis.
