TAKE THE FIRST POSITIVE STEP TO A

PAIN FREE LIFE

Introducing the

ACTION FOR PERSISTENT PAIN (APP)

Programme

At Physiologic we aim to help people in ‘stuck’ life positions. We are proud to offer this comprehensive, integrative, tailored approach to relieve, and proactively manage your persistent pain problem.

Tell me more about the APP programme.....

Persistent pain is pain that is present for more than 6 weeks. This type of pain is often not entirely resolved by movement and inflammation reduction. Movement and inflammation reduction address the mechanical aspect of the pain problem only. The APP programme addresses other biological processes that are at work in your brain and body after this 6 week period.

APP programme consultation...

Prior to developing an APP plan for you, your therapist will carry out a full holistic consultation and assessment. For example-

o   Is muscle weakness/ tightness affecting your movement?

o   Is your sitting posture at work or home not ideal?

o   Is your diet hindering resolution of the inflammation?

o   Is your immune system now under or over-functioning?

o   Has your fear of the pain severely limited your activities and movements?

o   Are your emotions a driving force?

Your personalised APP programme...

Following your consultation a tailored APP programme will be recommended to you. Your APP programme will include a bespoke package of sessions run by experienced therapists based on the following disciplines.

Tick  Physiotherapy

Tick  Aromatherapy Massage

Tick  Relaxation

Persistent Pain- A ‘whiplash’ scenario unraveled…

You are sat in your stationary car at traffic lights. You are hit from behind by another car. You experience direct physical trauma from hitting your head on the steering wheel. In addition the sudden acceleration and deceleration of the head on the neck may cause a ‘whiplash’ injury.

A course of traditional physical treatment will heal the injured tissues; the physical effects of whiplash.

However, on occasion, simply dealing with the physical injury is not enough and pain persists despite there being no apparent physical cause.  X-rays, scans and blood tests reveal that there is no medical evidence for your continued pain.

Now, reconsider. You are sat in your stationary car at traffic tights. You are hit from behind by another car. You are thrown forwards into the steering wheel; an unexpected, dramatic event.

Firstly, this will trigger your inbuilt protective defense system, your ‘fight or flight response.’ A fight or flight response occurs in the muscles, organs and the brain.

Secondly there may be a realization of how dangerous your situation was. An emotional response related to thoughts; ‘What if I had been killed?’ ‘What if I couldn’t provide for my family anymore?’ ‘What if...[insert  your own ending]!’ These emotional responses of fear and anxiety also switch on your fight or flight response.

Fight or flight response causes adrenalin to pump. Over time this emotional-bodily-defence reaction will contribute to a change in the hormones, brain transmitters, perceptions and the general feeling of wellbeing.

Science has shown that medication/ physical therapies alone are unlikely to change the ‘stuck’ emotional-bodily-defence reaction component of the painful whiplash experience.

A persistent whiplash pain experience occurs because of this embedded emotional-bodily-defence reaction.

What are ‘Emotional Clearing Techniques’?

Emotional Clearing Techniques (or Advanced Clearing Energetics, ACE) is a new energy therapeutic system developed by Richard Flook and is revolutionary in tackling all types of pain including Persistent Pain.

It uses the notion of trapped energy following a stressful event, not only in the brain and body but in the outer matrix determining everything that occurs and will occur in the body.  Problems are transformed into learning by using the metaphor of disease or pain to find the root source of any problem. Pain is therefore a manifestation of this trapped stuck energy and represents a limiting decision created around the event.

The good news is……

Changing your beliefs, fears, perceptions and decisions removes the pain.

The three areas where the energy is trapped can be accessed with Advanced Clearing Energetics and must all be cleared for symptoms to disappear and as well as returning you to your previous way of living.

‘I’ve tried to address my emotions through therapy before.’….

You may have tried hypnosis or counseling, and although excellent therapies, they do not address all the areas, nor in the way the unconscious brain likes to clear the energy completely. All our memories and shocks are stored here so targeting the therapy at the ‘main driver and storage area’ guarantees success.

As we now understand the cause, process and meaning of symptoms and can predict the nature of your recovery we can fully support you in the healing process. Finding out which situations in your life trigger your symptoms to recur, helps reduce the worry and stress so you begin to trust your body again.  This process puts you in charge of your own pain or disease and the healing process.

Let us help you find that missing piece.
